Hyperion is designed to distinguish different forms of fatigue, not compress an athlete's biology into a score derived from one signal.

What Hyperion measures

Multimodal inputs allow the system to interpret five distinct fatigue profiles:

Why multimodality matters

No single signal explains readiness. Hyperion combines four biological domains so that each measurement contributes context to the others.

I. Neurology

Tapping Test measures frequency and stability. PVT measures mean reaction time and lapses. Two active CNS tests capture motor speed, neuromuscular precision, and cognitive slowing.

II. Biochemistry

Lactate readings, optional but valuable, show how muscles handle metabolic load.

III. Biometrics

HRV and resting heart rate are measured directly by the app using smartphone PPG. Wearables can add context but are not required for the core readiness assessment.

IV. Psychophysics

Motivation, mood, DOMS, brain fog, and stress provide subjective context that Hyperion uses as a modulator.

From interpretation to action

A result is not the endpoint

Because Hyperion can distinguish the dominant fatigue profile, it does not leave the athlete with a chart. After each test, the system provides a targeted, guided recovery plan with concrete execution parameters.

The execution level required to match the athlete's current capacity.

Recommendations range from entirely cost-free methods to advanced technologies used in elite performance and aerospace environments.

Learning loops and personal calibration

Hyperion compares the athlete with their own baseline rather than reducing every person to a population average. Repeated measurements, historical response patterns and recovery outcomes create a continuous calibration loop around the individual organism.

Where the Biology Readiness Index fits

The Biology Readiness Index is a compact interpretation layer that summarizes the current measurement. It is one output of the system, not the system itself, and it is not derived from HRV alone.
